For ellement collective™ founders Kylie Roswell and Mary Allard , their teenage years were pivotal times in their lives. The highs and the lows during that period had a great impact on them becoming the women they are today. Finding each other and putting their heads together, they intend to find ways to support today’s teens with a variety of personal growth tools.

Kylie was an overachiever in school, varsity sports, and liberal arts, all while taking on a needed parent role for her younger sibling's after her mother's breast cancer diagnosis. All of this mixed with her innate nature to perform and care for others resulted in an overwhelming level of pressure. Despite the support of her community and therapists, Kylie struggled with managing her mental health during that time.

Similarly, Mary was a high performing student in school and leader on her club sports teams. With her parents getting divorced, her older siblings leaving home and her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis, Mary, too, had challenges at home along with self-imposed pressures to achieve and perform. Mary strove for perfection and she felt helpless, abandoned and out of control.  She developed an eating disorder, chronic gut pain, and anxiety and like Kylie she sought out therapy and medical support. Mary searched far and wide for relief.

Kylie and Mary's path crossed in 2009 while studying abroad in New Zealand and they felt like sister’s from the start. When they realized the significance of their similarities and how much they had learned from those struggles, they felt bonded and happy that they weren’t alone. They thought: How can we pass along what we know now so that teen girls don’t have to spend years feeling isolated.

In 2021, they founded the Ellement Collective, building this unique program for young women… A program, practices, and mentors they wish they would have had access to — when they were teens.
